Umberto Muratori
Assistant Professor of Economics, Universidad del Rosario
I am an Assistant Professor in the School of Economics at Universidad del Rosario. I am a macroeconomist working at the intersection of empirical research and structural/computational analysis.
My work combines detailed microdata, causal inference, and quantitative models to study how firms, workers, and markets respond to economic change and policy interventions. I use microdata to uncover new facts, document economic trends, and estimate causal relationships. I then develop and apply structural models to evaluate alternative policy scenarios and understand their broader economic implications.
My research focuses on firm dynamics, fiscal policy, and labor economics. Across these areas, I aim to produce rigorous, data-driven research that is relevant for policy and useful for understanding real-world economic challenges.
